Deanship of Student Affairs in co-operation with Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences held a campaign "Your Vertebras are Asking for Help" under the patronage of university vice President for Educational Affairs Prof. Dr. Mohammad Othman Alrokban. This campaign aims to educate university staff and students and the community as a whole about back and joints pains. The campaign has started with a reception in honor of university vice President for Educational Affairs and in the presence of Deans and vice Deans of colleges, administrations managers and university students on the theater of University City in Almajmaah.
The reception has started with some verses from the Noble Qura'an recited by the student Sa'ad Alghanem. After that, a speech of the working committees in the campaign was delivered on their behalf by the student Saud Alharbi. He has spoken about the vision, message and the objectives of this campaign. Then, Dr. Salamh Alda'ajah gave a presentation on the pains of back and joints. His Excellency university vice President for Educational Affairs concluded the reception with a speech in which he commended people in charge of this campaign; he also highlights the importance of the role of extracurricular activities in cultivating talents in the way of serving the community. Then, the accompanying exhibition has been opened. The exhibition included several skeletons that illustrate the structure of bones. The students presented a very detailed explanation on causes and problems of back pains and some precautionary ways. The wing has contained a medical clinic for general diagnosis and some advanced devices for treating pains of back and vertebras. Some educational gifts has been given to visitors and also the cultural competition papers have been distributed.
His Excellency University vice President for Educational Affairs expressed his happiness with this project and efforts by commenting on the memories wall in the exhibition. It is worth-noting that this campaign will continue receiving visitors until Sunday 1 pm. Also, they will receive the contest answers. Deanship of Student Affairs is willing to expand the scope of the campaign at the level of university services.
His Excellency Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Hamad Abdullah Alghemeizi indicated that the campaign "Your Vertebras are Asking for Help" is the second campaign Deanship is executing during the academic year 1433/1434 as the first one was entitled "My Health: My Fitness…My Life". His Excellency clarified that these campaigns are one of the goals of Deanship of Student Affairs. Dr. Alghemeizi extended his thanks to his Excellency university vice President for Educational Affairs for sponsoring this campaign.
