Introduction about the Preparatory year and science Preparation
The new sciences students admitted either in the preparatory year program for medical laboratories and the computer program or in preparation for the science sections of physics and mathematics, for a period of one academic as following detailed:
First, the preparatory year:
This year is a preparatory stage for students wishing to specialize in medical laboratories or sections of the computer and it's not calculated with the average GPA of the student, and it's designed to prepare students to receive academic education quickly and learn English language skills and train students on the skills of thinking and learning.
Second: program for natural sciences preparation :
This year considers a preparatory stage for students wishing to specialize in the departments of mathematics or physics, and is calculated by averaging the cumulative GPA for the student where they study later in the major six educational levels of in the departments of mathematics or physics, designed to prepare students to receive academic education quickly and train students in methods of learning and thinking skills .

Objectives
First, to support employment opportunities for graduates of scientific majors (Engineering - Computer - Science) in the private and public sector through strengthening their English language skills and computer skills .
Second, support the teaching of scientific majors and medical in English language through preparing of students for this goal by intensify the teaching of this language in the preparatory year program and improve the capacity of the student , where they study a total of 16 hours contact per week spread over four language skills in addition to activating learning English through using the computer , as well as to re-taught students what they studied at the secondary level in mathematics and natural sciences (physics, chemistry and biology) in English.
Third, the development of computer skills among students through the adoption of the "ICDL Computer" as a method of computer material, where the curriculum covers seven basic skills for the use of a computer.
Fourth, solving phenomenon of absentees of students in college science and medical, where the program allows both the preparatory year for each of the student and the university the opportunity to identify the student's capabilities and mental and psychological potentiality to attend one of the medical college, scientific, and for further study.
Fifth, to give competent opportunities just among the students after varying the conditions of evaluation underwent students at the end of high school, where they specialize students in the target sections according to trade-off system among them in terms of GPA, which is obtained after the passing of all articles of the plan of study in the preparatory year which is not included the average of student in high school,
Sixth: the cumulative average of student is not calculated in the preparatory year after joining one of the target sections, which calculating the average started as a new student, so the preparatory year an opportunity to prepare students to live with the environment of new university that does not impact on the cumulative average after specialization by giving him a period of one year full course of coping with the following aspects:
A - adoption of the student himself and full independence from the daily follow-up and his presence.
B - to practice new ways of remembering that distinguish undergraduate from the comprehensive information and multiple references.
C - training on ways to identify and deal with methods of teaching and different from what it used to.
D - training on the new evaluation methods.
E - training on full independence for the student from the psychological and academic .
