Hackers' targets • Stealing and earn money • Stealing your bank account and credit cards • Stealing social media accounts and games and selling them to third parties • Stealing sensitive information • Causing material or moral loss There are hundreds of thousands of hackers whose goal is to hack as many accounts as possible including yours Beware of the following: 1. The value of the information you work on may be of interest to different companies or governments. 2. You might be hacked for the purpose of reaching your co-workers or systems and servers. 3. You might be hacked to see what other companies you cooperate with do. Does antivirus give me 100% protection? Unfortunately NO Many cyber-attacks have evolved their ways beyond protection techniques easily. • Develop malicious software that the anti-virus cannot detect. • Using social engineering skills. • Send e-mails to trick you and steal important information from you. How do I protect myself? • The user is the first line of defense, so your sense and security awareness must always be present. • When you receive an email, text message or phone call that makes you feel they’re important or rushes you to make a decision, or if the message is strange or suspicious, it may be an attack targeting you. • Enable security updates for your devices and computers and activate automatic updates. • Use complex and different passwords for each account.
