The Dean in a Meeting with New Students

The Vice-Dean’s Office, represented by Student Activity Unit, at the College of Science in Zulfi arranged a meeting for the college’s new students with the dean, Dr. Hani Al-Quhayz in the presence of the vice-dean, Dr. Muqren Al-Muqren, the vice-dean for graduate studies and scientific research Dr. Mufawaz Al-Harbi and heads of departments.
Dr. Al-Quhayz, the dean, talked about many issues of significance for students such as punctuality in attendance, academic plans and online tests on blackboard. He also encouraged them to utilize the labs, take part in competitions both locally and regionally and join study clubs.
Dr. Al-Muqren, who talked about the educational environment, told students to ask for help when needed and they should maintain the university’s properties.
Dr. Al-Harbi advised students to visit the library and learn how to search for books.
Dr. Yassir Al-Qurashi, Head of Academic Advising Unit, explained to students the vision and goals of the unit which rests on helping students to utilize their skills.
The dean said at the end of the meeting that the deanship’s vice-deans are pleased to help students to overcome potential problems that may impede their academic progress.
