Faculty of Science in Alzulfi Participates in the Exhibition Accompanying the First International Conference of the Almajmaah University

 

His Excellency Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin opened the exhibition accompanying the conference on Sunday 4/1/1434. The exhibition contained a presentation about all colleges and Deanships of Almajmaah University in addition to many academic and educational services by the participating bodies that are in contact with the university.

  In all academic departments, Faculty of Sciences' participation was unique and diverse in that Department of Medical labs participated with a poster about the department and laboratory devices. Also, some quick medical check-ups were given to many of the exhibition visitors. A compound microscope was placed and many certain parasites and microbes slides were provided and explained in detail what exactly these slides contained. Physics Department took part in the exhibition with some maquettes together with explanation, and an introductory  poster for the Department along with simple devices where a maquette of the solar system inside the galaxy drew the attention of visitors. Based on that maquette, succession of day and night and the phenomenon of Eclipse and Eclipse were illustrated and thoroughly explained.

The participation of Department of Mathematics and Department of Computer Sciences were educational and intellectual where they distributed some brochures and pamphlets that contain scientific information prepared by some faculty members in addition to introductory posters about the department. The Department of Mathematics presented a maquette of a plane and explained Newton's second law on it. Department of Computer Sciences' student participation was very distinguished as a separate site was prepared along with student projects and research and it had a great impact on the attendees. Student guidebook was distributed as it gives detailed explanation on Faculty and its academic departments. The exhibition lasted for two days and its activities ended on Monday afternoon.
