The Department of Chemistry held the sixth seminar under the theme "Synthesis of new Thiazole compounds using microwave technology through the Suzuki reaction in water".
Dr. Manahil Al-Amin presented the seminar and explained the preparation of palladium catalytic compounds and a comparison of their efficiency in Suzuki reactions to prepare well-known and new heterogeneous compounds using thermal heating technology and infrared radiation.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Chemistry Department, Dr. Yousef Al-Ghamdi, and faculty members of the department.
