The Volunteering and Community Service Unit conducts a workshop titled: "Volunteering Skills"

The Vice-Dean's Office, represented by the Volunteering and Community Service Unit, in collaboration with the Alumni Unit and the Department of Mathematics, organized a workshop titled: “Volunteering Skills”, presented by Dr. Jawaher Al-Zahrani. The workshop focused on the skills of volunteer work, exploring its impact on individuals and society, and fostering a culture of volunteerism.

The session highlighted the historical roots of volunteer work in Islam including its cultural foundation, and the benefits of volunteering. It also covered the qualities of a volunteer, various fields of voluntary work, the skills and goals involved, as well as the motivations, rights, and responsibilities of volunteers.

Additionally, the workshop presented examples of successful volunteer models and motivational strategies, global comparisons in volunteer practices, and how a volunteer can become impactful through empowerment, commitment, and awareness. It clarified the objectives, types, and classifications of volunteering, and discussed the personal and social impact of volunteering.

The workshop concluded with a comprehensive discussion of various related aspects to empower participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical tools for impactful volunteering.
