HIS HIGHNESS THE RECTOR LAUNCHES DATA CENTER AND A NUMBER OF PROJECTS AT IT DEANSHIP

His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren launched a number of infrastructure projects of IT Deanship with the attendance of Vice-Rector and Deans of Colleges and Deanships. His Highness had an inspective tour in the deanship’s departments including: technical affairs department, e-portal department, programming department, technical support department, data center department, information center department, network department, operation system department and information security department. His Highness launched the latest network device, new servers, storing devices, surveillance system of temperature and humidity in the data center. After that, the Dean of IT Deanship Dr. Omar Al-Mutaihi elaborated on the system of network monitoring (NMS) which enable IT deanship to follow up all the network locations which reach up to 18 locations. He also explained the experience of the deanship with RIT American university in the field of Information Security as well as the achievements of the deanship and all its units.
