Prof. Hatim Al-Marzuqi, Rector of Islamic University paid a visit to the Office of the Dean of Information Technology escorted by MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren and vice-rectors where they were welcomed by Dr. Mohammed Al-Wanien, Dean of IT Vice-Rector’s Office.
The visiting delegation was briefed about the major achievements of IT Vice-Dean’s Office, a potential of having a future mutual cooperation between the two universities.
Mr. Waleed Al-Aoulah provided an exhaustive explanation of both the university e-portal and Staff Intranet; which made the process of accessing all applications and services easier.
In the Department of Software, Analysis and Design, Mr. Abdelrahman Al-Turaiqi highlighted the applications developed by the Department such as ‘Khadamati’ my services, Committees and Councils, Warehouse and Blood Bank.
Mr. Nashmi Al-Rasheedi, Director of Operating Systems, elaborated the function of the data center and the state-of-the-art security systems and servers.
At the end of the visit, the delegation was briefed about the mobile maintenance van which is fully equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to fix the problem instantly.
Dr. Al-Wanien said that the van provides networking and technical services and provide temporary internet connection to departments.
