Majmaah University has moved up in the world international ranking (Webometrics). The university website (www.mu.edu.sa) was ranked No. 12 among 60 Saudi universities and No. 75 among more than 725 Arab universities. His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren launched the e-portal of the university early in 2012. This e-portal was included in the ranking of June, 2012 and the university was ranked No. 20 among 60 Saudi universities. His Highness the Rector patronized an awarding prize for the outstanding sub-websites and faculty members pages which contributed immensely in advancing the university ranking. On this occasion, Dr. Omar Al-Mutaihi, Dean of IT extended his thanks and appreciation to God for such achievements which came as a result of the efforts exerted by the deanship staff, particularly in e-portal unit and programing unit. Dr. Al-Mutaihi also extended his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren for his continuous support and follow-up as well as his patronize for the award which has stimulated all sub-website supervisors to work harder. Colleges and deanships have their own control panel which helped them to contribute in this success. It is worth to mention that Webometrics is a worldwide ranking that evaluate the university portals based on scientific criteria and issues its evaluation result via the official website ( www.webometrics.info).
