In the presence of the dean and vice-deans of College of Science in Zulfi, an awarding ceremony was held to award winners of the College of Science Prize for scientific research, 2020. The winners are:

- Prof. Hafiz Balmabrouk, Physics Department 

The Training Unit at the College of Science in Zulfi, in cooperation with the Department of Chemistry, conducted a virtual course for faculty members entitled “ Using artificial intelligence technology for exam invigilation”.

At the request of the head of Department of Computer Science and Information, Dr. Fayez Al-Fayez, the Translation and Proofreading Committee conducted three lectures in English for computer science and technology.

The Training Unit in cooperation with the Department of Computer Science at the College of Science in Zulfi conducted virtual course entitled "How to use Microsoft Excel".

The course was presented by Dr. Sara Al-Jack and addressed the following topics:

- What is Excel 

Under the patronage of the dean, Dr. Hani Al-Quhayz, the Academic Advising Unit conducted, in cooperation with the Department of Chemistry, a workshop, entitled "effective planning". 

In the presence of the head of Department of Computer Science and Information, Dr. Fayez Al-Fayez, the Innovation Club held a student forum to introduce students to the club’s activities and motivate them to join it.

 

In the presence of Dr. Fayez Al-Fayez, Head of Computer Science, and Information Department, the fourth seminar, for the Academic Year 1442-1443 AH, was held virtually using the blackboard system.

The Training Unit in cooperation with the Physic Department at the College of Science, Zulfi, conducted a virtual course for faculty members, entitled " Tools of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC". 

The course was presented by Ms. Sara Al-Najeed and addressed the following points:

The Training Unit at the College of Science, conducted, in cooperation with the Scientific Affairs Unit, a course for faculty members, entitled “professional way of preparing performance indicators and annual reports”.

The Chemistry Department at the College of Science in Zulfi has conducted a virtual orientation meeting for new students. The department coordinator briefed students about the establishment of the department and its plan.

Under the patronage of the head of the Department of Computer Science and Information, Dr. Fayez al-Fayez, a ceremony was held by the department to farewell Dr. Ashraf Hayder.

In the presence of the head of the Department of Computer Science and Information, Dr. Fayez al-Fayez and faculty members, a group of students presented 33 final projects as a requirement for graduation.

A group of students from the Department of Physics at the College of Science in Zulfi are presenting their graduation projects in the presence of the department’s head and faculty members who evaluated students’ works and provided them with the required corrections for their projects.

A virtual meeting was held by the head and members of both departments: chemistry and biology to discuss the idea launching a joint diploma between the two departments.

Dr. Yasser Sedeeq presented a course at the Physics Club, entitled ‘Basics of Geometrical Optics”.

The aim of the course is to hone students’ skills in optics science and how apply academic knowledge in making spectacles and telescopes.
