College of Engineering Started Online Interactive Student Evaluation

To provide faculty with instant feedback from students and to be able to respond early to deficiencies students might have in a lecture, the Quality Center in the College of Engineering has introduced Interactive Student Evaluation. This project will be implemented to all courses and the evaluation will be online for students to provide their opinions using their smartphones, and the results are available to the instructors instantaneously, also online. In this evaluation, students are instructed to answer one question and are presented with three choices; and the purpose of this is to let the students feel less burdened to participate in the evaluation. In addition to this, students can provide their written comments through a textbox at the bottom of the poll. At the end of each lecture, students are instructed to visit using their smartphones the link to the poll using a QR code; and the instructor will visit the link that present the result of the poll. The instructor can then build his next lecture based on what the students have indicated
