Under the sponsership of Students Guidance and Counseling Center at the Office Dean of Student Affairs, and in collaboration with the Student Support Unit at College of Engineering, the students of College of Engineering attended an awareness lecture entitled : “ the Role of Professional Skills in the Labor Market” in the Engineering Clubs Hall at the College of Engineering The lecture which took place on Sunday 13/2/1440 AH was presented by Dr. Abdul Hamid Haj Amin from the Student Guidance and Counseling Center at the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs. The first theme of the lecture introduced the students to the intellectual awareness services provided by Students Guidance and Counseling Center at Office of the Dean of Student Affairs for MU students and the local community. The second theme explained how it is important for the university students to develop their social communication skills for professional marketing in the engineering field. The lecturer stated on the third theme of the lecture the need of a successful engineer to have a sense of responsibility and social maturity in order to achieve a broad and comprehensive understanding of the engineering projects under his supervision. The lecturer discussed on the fourth theme of the lecture the reasons for success, emphasizing that if an engineer wants to achieve success and excellence in his work, he must possess the ability to solve practical problems, flexibility, constant ambition, confidence in himself and his scientific and practical experiences. The lecture was concluded with the students' feedback on the lecture.
