Visit to King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology
In an attempt to bridge the gap between the theoretical and practical aspects in obtaining knowledge, the College of Engineering organized a visit to King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). The visit included 18 students, and was under the supervision of Dr. Weqar Ahmed Khan and Mr. Fares bin Saad Al-Saeed, the trip coordinator at the College. Moreover, the visit began at the Materials Research Institute, where the officials greeted and welcomed the delegation from the College. Then, Mr. Al-Saeed delivered a speech, in which he extended his thanks and appreciation on behalf of the delegation and Dean of College for the warm reception. After that, Eng. Khalid bin Saed Al-Ghamdi, provided a detailed explanation using an electronic screen about King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, as well as some of its achievements. Next, the officials at King Abdulaziz City took the students on a tour inside the Materials Research Institute, starting with the National Center for Petrochemicals Technology, which is part of the Institute. The students also visited three laboratories for testing the strength of plastic samples. At the end of the visit, the officials at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology praised the constant collaboration with the College of Engineering at Majmaah University for its benefits and practical experience suitable for the theoretical material.
