A Workshop on “Census in Saudi Arabia for the Year 2020”

Under the patronage of the dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Saleh Al-Dahsh, the Intellectual Awareness Unit at the College of Engineering conducted a workshop entitled “Census in Saudi Arabia for the Year 2020”. The workshop, held on Wednesday, targeted faculty members and students of all academic departments. Launching the workshop by welcoming audience, the Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Saadwni, motivated them to take part regularly in the workshop held by the college. Dr. Naif Al-Baqmi provided a detailed presentation about the census that will be conducted in Saudi Arabia this year. The presentation also featured diagrams of the different stages of census. Dr. Al-Baqmis’ presentation also focused on several topics like the history and importance of census in Saudi Arabia; the duration of conducting the census; types of census; and plans and stages of census in Saudi for the current year. Dr. Al-Baqmi also talked about the important role of census for future plans in educational, medical and economic aspects. Faculty members and students commended the importance of the

workshop in raising their awareness.
