Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Abdullah Al-Abdelkareem and in the presence of the Vice-Dean for Quality and Development, Dr. Abdullah Al-Muheisen, a workshop entitled “Modern Applications of MATLAB” was held on Tuesday. The workshop was presented by specialized engineers from Mathworks and was attended by faculty members.
The aim of the workshop is to highlight the features of MATLAB’s last version.
The presenter discussed how to implement the integrated applications on programmable and portable devices by "MATLAB". The latest findings of the engineering application in this field which is used in the analysis of images and digital maps as well as changing their colors for better resolution.
The features of the latest version of the software program were shown to convert the results into files with various file extensions for easy transfer.
In the second part of the workshop, a new feature was demonstrated as how to create and build other engineering applications that serve the teaching process of all academic majors in the College of Engineering with the use of a sub-program in MATLAB called "Design of Engineering Applications"
Faculty members who attended the workshop commended it in improving their skills in the field of engineering applications which will be reflected positively on their teaching and research.
