The English Language Unit at the Applied College plays a vital role in equipping students with the language skills necessary for academic and career success. Seen as a focal point in language acquisition, the unit provides a structured and supportive environment that enables students to develop their English language proficiency. Through our excellent faculty and a strong curriculum, we aim to bridge language gaps and make English an accessible and effective means of communication for our students.

In today’s world, English is an essential means of communication in various fields such as technology, business, science, and social communication. The Applied College recognizes the crucial role that English language proficiency plays, not only in broadening students’ academic horizons, but also in improving their career opportunities. When students master the English language, they are able to access valuable information they need, engage with cutting-edge research, and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, giving them a competitive advantage in the job market.

The English Language Unit’s syllabus is designed in a practical and applied manner, allowing students to practice real-life skills such as writing, speaking, listening, reading and comprehension. Each subject and activity focuses on the importance of English in the context of students’ academic disciplines, ensuring that they acquire language skills relevant to their career aspirations. In addition, the unit conducts workshops, group projects and individual assessments, helping students gain confidence in using English in formal and informal situations.

Finally, the English Language Unit at the Applied College is committed to helping students succeed in a world where English is key to professional and personal development. With the ongoing support of our teaching staff and a curriculum that meets our students’ unique needs, we are proud to be apart of their educational journey and a catalyst for lifelong learning and success.
