Under Supervision and follow up of Dr. Fahd Bin Abdulllah El Torkey, Dean of Al Majamaah engineering college, the department of the civil engineering in the college organized a geological scientific journey for students of the course (Geotechnical engineering). The practical journey, included a geological discovery and study for the archeological region west of Al Majamaah city where study of successions of rock layers has been conducted in the rock discovery in Al Drassa region. Also, study of various geological rocks has been executed, then a classification of different rocks, based on the geological basis for rock classification, has been conducted. These basis have been taught to students through the theoretical and practical part of the course (Geotechnical engineering during the current term.
