A Workshop for Preparing College’s Staff to the Visit of NAAC’s Team

As a part of the College of Engineering's preparations for the program-based accreditation by the National Centre for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation, the Vice-Dean’s Office for Quality & Development at the College of Engineering held a workshop to prepare the higher administrative staff members of the college for the national academic accreditation.
The workshop was attended by His Excellency the Dean of the College, vice-deans and heads of departments.
At the outset, the dean welcomed the attendees and highlighted the importance of program-based accreditation for the college and university as well as the need for all faculty members to be prepared for this visit at all levels.
The dean pointed out that the university’s administration, represented by His Excellency the Rector of the University and the Vice-rector of the University, demonstrate great interest and unlimited support to the College in its pursuit of this academic accreditation, which is the first for both the university and the College.
The dean explained that electrical engineering and civil engineering programs were both submitted to the program-based accreditation. The two programs are among the first programs of the university that passed the initial stages and are expected to receive the team’s final visit on 10/13/2020.
His Excellency the vice dean for development and quality presented the most important criteria, information and standards that must be focused on during the visit. He also highlighted the new academic accreditation standards issued by the National Centre for Academic Accreditation, the requirements for accreditation, preparation of documents and the infrastructure.
