A student may drop a course, and a grade (P) will be given to him without being considered a failure in accordance with the following controls:
- A student of the semester system may drop from a course once in one semester or summer semester, provided that the application is submitted within the allowed period in the academic calendar, and two weeks for the summer semester.
- A student of the annual system may drop a maximum of two academic courses in one academic year, provided that the application is submitted within the allowed period according to the academic calendar.
- The number of dropped courses should not exceed four during the student’s study at the university.
The number of registered hours should not be less than the minimum (12 hours).
In all these cases, the dean of the college takes the decision within three days from the date of submitting the request via the electronic portal. In the event that the dean doesn't take any decision within the stipulated period, the request will be accepted.
