A student may submit a request to defer a study before the end of the first week of study through the electronic portal. Deferment should not exceed two consecutive semesters or three non-consecutive semesters - for students of colleges that apply the annual system, it is not permissible to defer for two consecutive years, or more than two non-consecutive years - during the student study period. The University Council may, in case of necessity, make exceptions from that.
The Deanship of Admission and Registration processes the application three days from the date of submission. The application will either be accepted or rejected for the reasons being stated.
