Academic dismissal

Dismissal from the university :

If a student receives three consecutive warnings or more as a result of having a GPA below the required one  2 out of 5 for graduation in his college according to the executive rule, Article ( 20 ).

If a student is unable to graduate within a maximum period of half the period set for his graduation in addition to the duration of the program. 

If a student violates the university's regulations 

How to appeal for another chance 

An academically dismissed student who had three or more warnings may appeal for another chance.

Granting an opportunity to dismiss a student because he did not complete the graduation requirements within a maximum period of half the period set for his graduation in addition to the duration of the program: 

The University Council may, upon the recommendation of the Student College Council, give the dismissed student a maximum of half the period of his study to complete the graduation requirements. This should not exceed twice the original period specified for graduation according to the following conditions: 

The student's reasons for academic underachievement are acceptable by the college council. 

There should be an improvement in the student’s performance in the last two semesters. 

The University Council may, upon the recommendation of the Student College Council in exceptional cases, give the dismissed student the following opportunities: 

Two more semesters for the dismissed student as he/she completed the duration of the program two times, provided that the remaining courses for the student can be completed within a period not exceeding two semesters. 

Giving the dismissed student a chance that does not exceed two semesters at most. 

Taking into account the following conditions: 

The cause of stumbling is acceptable. 

There should be an improvement in the student’s performance in the last two semesters. 

Procedures for granting a chance to students who are academically dismissed:  

The dismissed student due to warnings or exceeding the period shall apply to his college by requesting an additional chance according to the above-mentioned terms before the beginning of the semester. 

In the event that the college agreed to give the student the opportunity, the student will be automatically registered with the rest of the university students. 

Note:

Students who are granted a chance should visit their college to do what is necessary to complete the registration process as the automated registration may not work out.
