These partnerships aim to improve healthcare services, foster academic exchanges, and provide students and staff with opportunities for professional development. Locally, the university collaborates with various hospitals, healthcare centers, and government health agencies in Saudi Arabia to facilitate internships, training programs, and research projects for its students, particularly those in the medical, nursing, and health sciences fields.

 

On a global scale, Majmaah University seeks to collaborate with international universities and health organizations to stay updated on global healthcare trends, participate in international conferences, and promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise. These collaborations help to align the university's academic and research initiatives with international standards, thereby enhancing the skills and capabilities of its students and staff in the health sector. Through these partnerships, Majmaah University continues to strengthen its role in contributing to both the local and global healthcare ecosystem.

The university, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, concluded its participation in the Health Innovation Hackathon in its fourth edition, which was held from January 19-22, 2024 at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al-Ahsa, under the supervision of the Intellectual Awareness Unit at the Deanship of Student Affairs at King Saud Health University and in partnership with the Research and Innovation Agency at the Ministry of Education, the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA), the Saudi Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monshaat), the Saudi Food and Drug Authority and the Research Development Authority Innovation.

The Medical Rehabilitation and Prosthetics Center signs a cooperation agreement in the field of medical supplies industry

Based on the development directions and in line with the plan of the University Center for Medical Rehabilitation Technologies and Prosthetics, and the great development the world is witnessing in the field of manufacturing prostheses, and in pursuit of the Center's Board of Directors in providing health services with high efficiency in cooperation with international and regional expertise, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Prof. Dr. Musallam bin Muhammad Al-Dosari, signed a cooperation agreement with Mobilbs Company for the manufacture of medical supplies, represented by the Director General, Mr. Makram Tabib, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where this agreement includes joint cooperation in the field of prosthetic manufacturing, the field of training and localization of knowledge, and the field of scientific research.

During the visit, the center's team toured the factory of Mobilbs Company, during which they listened to an explanation of the stages of manufacturing prostheses, and to learn about the latest devices and modern technologies used in this field.

The University Holds the World Physical Therapy Day in Cooperation with King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah

The Department of Physical Therapy at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in cooperation with King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah held the event of the World Physical Therapy Day in Majmaah Mall, as this event comes within the university's programs in the service of the community and the individual, and the opening was attended by Dr. Majid Al-Omari - Vice Dean of Training and Clinical Affairs at the College - on behalf of the Dean of the College, and Dr. Shadi Al-Shuwaier, Chairman of the Community Service Committee in the Department of Physical Therapy, and the department participated in four main axes in this event, namely: Sports injuries, risk of falls in the elderly, low back pain, foot problems.

Where the visitors were received and answered their inquiries by a number of faculty members in the department, namely: Dr. Shadi Al-Shuwaier, Professor: Rada Krishnan, and Professor: Nayef Al-Rashidi, in addition to the presence of some students of the department, and during this event some medical examinations were made, and a number of educational leaflets were distributed to visitors, and give them some necessary advice to avoid sports injuries, low back pain and foot pain.

On the other hand, the Sheikh Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Tuwaijri Chair for Applied Research for Stroke Cases had participated in this event, and the participation included the establishment of a pavilion in the exhibition accompanying the event prepared by the Chair Department by providing awareness leaflets, health booklets, the products of the chair and its versions of scientific books to spread more awareness about stroke disease, as well as measuring the percentage of oxygen in the blood, and the attendees were briefed on the contents of the pavilion and the introductory panels that highlight the achievements of the chair and its community activities.

In implementation of the direction of the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Majmaah University to activate community partnership and expand bridges of communication and cooperation with the relevant health authorities, and under the patronage of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Nasser bin Ali Al-Jarallah, a delegation from the Department of Medical Laboratory Science at the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Majmaah University visited King Faisal Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh on Tuesday 2014/10/30 to learn about the resources available in the various departments of medical laboratories in the hospital. This visit provided the possibility of searching for partners for cooperation in addition to many ways on how to conclude a cooperation agreement between the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Majmaah University and King Faisal Hospital, in order to open the way for distinguished training opportunities for university students and qualify them to compete in the labor market and cooperation in the field of scientific research for teachers and students. The delegation was received by the Head of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Dr. Sayed Dayel, and he welcomed His Excellency Dr. Raed bin Suleiman ElBaradei, Vice Dean of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the accompanying delegation, consisting of faculty members in the Department of Medical Laboratories. As part of the community initiatives provided by the university and concerned with serving the community in general and the patient in particular, the University Medical Center, in cooperation with the College of Medicine, visited Tamir Hospital as part of the (Visiting Consultant) initiative in joint cooperation between the university and Tamir General Hospital, in order to benefit from the cadres and exchange scientific and academic expertise for the benefit of patients. The university doctors were present: Dr. Ahmed Al-Namri, ENT Consultant, Dr. Faisal Al-Anzi, Internal Medicine Consultant, and Dr. Youssef Al-Anzi, Pediatric Consultant. They were present in the clinics that were allocated for this initiative, and received a number of cases included in the visiting consultant’s appointment schedule to examine them and provide the necessary medical consultations.
