Among its attempts to achieve the mission and goal of the college in activating the role of academic research, and in conformity with the policy of the College, dean Dr. Fahad Al-Dhefiri, the Vice-dean for student affairs, along with Dr. Abdullah Al-Aydarous- Head of Laboratories at the College- launched the Journal Club at the Department of Laboratories.
This Club aims to activate academic research at the College by motivating college members to conduct research and present the latest developments in the field of laboratories. The club activities began with a presentation entitled ‘Mycotic Keratitis’ offered by Dr. Mani Kandani- Assistant-professor at the Department which addressed the reasons and places of the infection along with various methods of treatment. Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Dekhayl- Vice-dean for Graduate Studies- attended the presentation together with faculty members who had actively participated with the presenter. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Dekhayl expressed his admiration of the idea and recommended its application in all departments for the general benefit.
Then Dr. Aydarous thanked Dr. Kandi for his presentation and also expressed his appreciation to Dhefiri- the College dean for his ongoing support of the departments of the College.
