Academic Advising Unit’s Meeting with Third Level Students for Choosing Academic Major

Under the patronage of the Dean, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shehri, and the follow-up of the Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Talal Al-Harbi, a meeting was held by the Academic Advising Unit with level-three students to introduce them to the academic majors that they can join by level-four. The meeting aimed to educate students with the importance of selecting an academic major based on factors such as personal affiliation, market demands, employment indicators and graduate studies programs. The heads of departments highlighted the academic majors and the courses for each major as well as the job opportunities and statistics of alumni who were employed. The students’ questions were answered at the end of the workshop which focused on the fundamental distinctions between academic majors at the college and the possibility of introducing new majors in the future. Students were asked to fill in official forms for choosing an academic major.
