Vision and Mission

 

Vision:

The Quality Unit at the College of Computer and Information Sciences seeks to adopt renewed standards at the academic level and complete the elements of quality and continuous improvement that enable the various programs to qualify for accreditation at the local and global levels.

Mission:

The mission of the Quality Unit at the College of Computer and Information Sciences is summarized in evaluating and assessing the elements of the academic system and continuous improvement and development of all parties to the educational process by spreading the culture of quality among all parties benefiting from faculty members and students in an independent, neutral, and transparent environment that ensures the advancement of the college's academic level and its ability to compete locally and globally.

Objectives:

  1. Proposing and setting the general policy to ensure quality and qualify for accreditation.
  2. Disseminating the culture of quality among all faculty members and students and the importance of applying the quality system to the college's educational outputs and to society in general.
  3. Reviewing and updating the college's strategic plan, following up on its implementation, and proposing work teams responsible for implementation.
  4. Preparing annual reports for the college and academic programs, identifying strengths and improvement potential that affect the educational process, and submitting possible recommendations to enhance strengths and continuous improvement.
  5. Following up on course portfolios and submitting program reports with appropriate recommendations for development to the college administration.
  6. Evaluating the educational process by measuring various performance indicators (faculty members - students - administrators - graduates - community partners and beneficiary recruitment companies) in cooperation with quality committees and various units in the college.
  7. Exchanging experiences with quality assurance units and centers in other colleges in the university and outside the university from other universities in the Kingdom or from other countries known for their interest in the educational process.
