CCIS Advisory Board Holds Its Sixth Session

The College of Computer and Information Sciences has been keen to pursue its professional and community partnerships to keep up the role of qualifying its human cadres to compete in the labor market. Hence, the Advisory Board of the College held its second session for this academic year 1439/1440. The session was chaired by Dr. Mohammed Al-Shehri, the college Dean in the presence of the members of the Advisory Board who are:

Dr. Ali Al-Hamdan, CCIS Vice-Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.

Prof. Hossam Ramadan, the rector of Al-Yamamah Private University.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Dahlawi, the Dean of the College of Prince Mohammed bin Salman for Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technologies.

Dr. Hani Al-Zaid , Advisor to His Excellency the Minister of Finance.

Dr.Thamer Al-Hussein, Vice-rector for Educational Affairs of the Saudi Electronic University.

Dr. Nasser Al Mashari, Vice-President of the ELM Company for business sectors.

Eng. Abdul Rahman Al-Shattawi, CEO of Excellence Solutions, and member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Cyber Security Federation.

Dr. AL Shehri welcomed the members of the Board at its 6th session and thanked them for their participation and attendance. During the meeting, a number of important academic topics were discussed, which will contribute to improving the academic level as well as the development of programs and curricula such as the College's "Career Day" and the "Second Student Graduation Projects" competition, and scientific seminars in cybersecurity, data science and artificial intelligence. The previous recommendations of the Advisory Board were also discussed and followed up. The members were also briefed on the final plan for the master's program in Data Science and the proposal to organize the Second National Technical Camp at the level of Saudi universities. Finally, the members discussed the activation of the Information Systems Department and the development of the "Business Intelligence" track.

At the end of the meeting, the Dean of the College and Chairman of the Advisory Board thanked the members for their outstanding efforts and active participation in discussing the development of the College and how to maintain the accomplished successes.
