CCIS Holds an Educational Seminar on First Aid

Upon the directives of the college dean Dr. Mohamed AL Shehri the College of Computer and Information Sciences held a scientific symposium on "First Aid" in cooperation with the College of Applied Medical Sciences which was presented by Mr. Abdullah Al-Otaibi. The speaker discussed the concept of first aid, its definition, the components of the first aid kit and the importance of its acquisition. Moreover, the speaker discussed the cases that require the intervention of people with knowledge of first aid.
Mr. Otaibi also explained the types of injuries, their symptoms, methods of dealing with them, and the skills needed by the medic. Participating students asked many questions about ways to deal with emergencies, road accidents, as well as sports and domestic injuries.
The seminar was concluded by thanking Mr. Abdullah Al-Otaibi and the College of Applied Medical Sciences for their efforts in raising the awareness of the health of university students.
