College of Computer and Information Sciences Organizes an IELTS Seminar for Female Students.

The female section of CCIS organized on Wednesday 26/09/2018 a seminar on IELTS. The event was organized and presented by the English language lecturer at the college Mrs. Olfa AL Hadi Alayeb, accredited by Cambridge and The British Council in TKT and TDC. 

The seminar focused on four axes which are: 

• Introducing IELTS 
• Academic IELTS and General Training IELTS 
• The four skills tested (Speaking/Reading/ Writing/ Listening) 
• Types of Questions 

The floor was then given to the attending students from different study levels who positively interacted with the content of the seminar by asking questions on and discussing the Academic and Professional horizons the IELTS certificate would offer to its holders. 

Besides, a number of students expressed their willingness to sit for the test while others recommended the organization of workshops to simulate the environment of the test with particular focus on the speaking skill. 

In this regard, many students suggested the distribution of  ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATES signed by the College for those attending such workshops. 

Similarly, the IELTS seminar won the interest of the faculty members in view of the test's academic and scientific value as they too suggested the organization of special  workshops for the teaching staff.
