College of Computer and Information Sciences Holds in Cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs its Second Volunteer Exhibition at Al Majma Mall entitled "Your data is your life"  -

In cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs at Majma'a University, The College of Computer and Information Sciences organized its second volunteer exhibition for the academic year 1439/1440 AH in Al Majmaa Mall on Thursday and Friday, 30/6/1440 - 1/7/1440 AH.

The exhibition was jointly inaugurated by HE Dr. Talal Al Harbi, Vice Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences for Educational Affairs and the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Fares Al-Faris, in the presence of a number of faculty members, administrative staff, and affiliates of the Deanship of Student Affairs.

The second participation of the college in the fourth week of the voluntary exhibition focused on raising the awareness of the community about preserving and securing their personal data. This was vehicled by raising awareness of the necessary precautions when using the Internet to reduce the risks associated with its use and to protect and secure information. The campaign was also aimed at educating individuals on security gaps, social engineering, e-phishing, and the safe use of applications.

The categories and numbers of visitors to the exhibition were varied during the two days of the event. The theme of the exhibition was also appreciated by the local community due to its importance and compatibility with international and local attention to open data. In addition, the College presented a number of souvenirs as well as awareness leaflets on data protection methods which reflect the University's appreciation for visitor's interaction and participation in the exhibition.
