His Excellency the Rector of Majmaah University launched, during the week of scientific research which was organized by the deanship of scientific research, the strategic plan of research in CCSIT. The plan is the work of the college’s scientific research committee in collaboration with the members of the college’s Advisory Board, faculty members and students. It included the basic research axes which the colleges concentrates on and took into consideration the tenors of the strategic plan of Majmaah University and the Afak Project Plan. In fact the plan determined qualitative features and fields on the basis of the curricular in the four departments of the college and on the basis of the specialization of faculty members in the scientific departments. The plan cared for distinctive content as it is highlighted by Afak Plan and decided for the research aspects supporting development. The scientific research strategy included many research areas such as cybercrime, digital forensic, data mining and cloud computing and set realistic performance indices built on Research led Teaching. This strategy is considered the most suitable for new colleges where scientific research is built on the curricular and the participation of students in research during their studentship seeking to prepare and habilitate them to meet the new requirements of the job market while achieving the most important objectives of higher education which is scientific research.
On this occasion, the Dean of CSIT Dr. Hisham AL Saghir thanked his Excellency the Rector DR. Khalid Bin Saad AL Mogran for the unlimited support for the college and the qualitative initiatives and strategic guidance which help concretize the mission of the university and provide quality educational services which can compete at the national and international levels.
