Visit to the Shura Council in Riyadh

The Student Activity Unit coordinated a visit by the students of the College of Computer and Information Sciences to the headquarters of the Shura Council in Riyadh, as part of the visit's program adopted by the Unit this year.
The visit to the Council began with a brief introduction to the Council's progress since its establishment and its role in the Saudi political system and the consolidation of the Shura principle since the time of His Majesty King Abdul-Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud to the current Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz.
Then the delegation toured the Council building, its halls, facilities and library, which includes 40 thousand books and research services.
The Andalusian Hall, accommodating more than 140 members and the Grand Hall were also visited.
The delegation checked the Shura Council exhibition, showing the history of the Council.
After that, the delegation visited the Department of Networks and Systems and Data Center, where most of the existing equipment such as servers and other devices were seen followed by a visit to the TV Production Studio, broadcasting the sessions of the Council.
At the end of the meeting, the visiting delegation thanked the General Supervisor of the Information Technology Department of the Council and his efforts in coordinating this visit.
