The Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Saud bin Al Moqhim presented the initiative (Tracks) to MU Rector Dr. Khalid Al Muqrin who launched the initiative.
The initiative aims to help academic advisors to determine students' academic level.
The Syllabus initiative consists of five sections based on each student GPA as follows:
• Excellence Track
• Merit Track
• Diligence Track
• Warning Track
• Under-achievement Track

Excellence Track: 4.75 (maintaining level)
• The possibility of being hired as a lecturer
• Strong opportunities for scholarship
• Excellence at the national level allowing creative students to participate in national events.
• Near-guaranteed employment opportunities in the labor market
Merit Track: (4 to 4.74) maintaining the level and making an extra effort
• Student achievement at the college and university level
• Graduation with high GPA and more chances to be recruited
Diligence: (3 to 3.99) Upgrading the level, making an additional effort and seeking help from academic advisors, colleagues, and high achievers.
• Graduating is expected to be in due course
• Less employment opportunities
• Not receiving the benefits of excellence
Warning Track: 2.5 to 2.99 Work on acquiring developmental skills, effort and self-assessment
• Late graduation
• Difficulty in getting jobs
• Possibility of failure
Failure: Less than 2.5 (Withdrawal from university)
• Difficulty achieving the requirements of success
• Scarcity of employment
• The possibility of withdrawing the academic record
• Student GPA needs to be improved to avoid dismissal from the university
