Definition:

This Unit is responsible for developing study plans to improve educational outcomes and achieve their alignment with academic accreditation standards via designing study timetables and distributing them and handling the registration, add/drop courses, developing measurement and evaluation standards for students, and following up on evaluation processes in the various college programs.

It is also concerned with handling examination committees, distributing proctors, receiving examination papers from other colleges, semester examinations, and make-up examinations. A decision to assign its head is issued by the Dean of the College.

Responsibilities:

1 - Conducting, publishing and developing scientific research in the field of measurement and evaluation.

2 - Implementing the examination regulations for the undergraduate level.

3 - Forming final examination committees in coordination with academic departments.

4 - Improving the level of evaluation of the educational process by achieving the quality of examinations.

5 - Preparing deprivation lists and graduate lists.

6 - Providing support and assistance to students and identifying their problems and suggestions.

7 - Communicate with faculty members to collect a backup copy of the exam questions for each department for emergency situations.

8 - Prepare lists of invigilators' names and announce them to members.

9 - Daily follow-up of the progress of the final exams during the exam period, and prepare a daily report on them.

10 - Prepare a report on the results of the final exams and submit it to the college's vice dean for educational affairs and development.

11 - Set the necessary specifications and standards for preparing study plans and programs in accordance with the standards of the National Authority for Evaluation and Academic Accreditation.

12 - Study and evaluate study plans according to standards, controls and mechanisms and recommend their approval.

13 - Develop study plans and programs and assist academic departments to reach high-quality study plans.

14 - Improve the efficiency of staff in the field of study plans and programs.

 

15 - Continuous follow-up of the performance of study plan committees in departments and colleges, and their activities.

 

16 - Prepare study timetables and distribute them fairly to faculty members according to their specializations.

17 - Implementing the regulations of studies and examinations for the undergraduate level.
