Definition:

 

He is a faculty member assigned to supervise the educational process in the college, and implement the approved policies and programs in the fields of educational affairs and their supporting services in coordination with the Dean of the College. He is assigned by the rector.

Competencies of the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs and Development:

 

1 - Preparing and developing the educational affairs strategy, including the college's emergency plan, and setting mechanisms to follow up on its implementation. -

2 - Implementing the executive regulations and rules of the studies and examinations regulations for the undergraduate stage (admission, deprivation - requests for deferment and apology, etc.)

3 - Implementing all quality assurance and academic accreditation processes in academic programs (spreading the culture of quality, requirements and standards of national and international accreditation).

4 - Preparing study timetables for students in academic departments and coordinating with other colleges in cooperation with the Deanship of Admission and Registration and the Study Schedules Committee.

5 - Distributing students to the various departments of the college in coordination with the departments.

6 - Guiding and counseling students and resolving issues related to academic and psychological achievement.

7 - Developing the study plan and the specification of the program and courses whenever necessary.

8 - Supervising the initiatives related to automating the operations of educational affairs, student affairs, quality and academic accreditation.

9 - Supervising the financial affairs and the Vice-Dean’s Office allocated funds and programs in accordance with the regulations and systems.

10 - Preparing, implementing and planning the therapy program for underachieving students in academic departments. 

11 - Supervising the class and extracurricular activities.

12 - Maintain continuous communication with alumni.

13 - Proposing the formation of committees related to the Vice-Dean's Office work.

14 - Studying students' grievances and problems and proposing appropriate solutions for them and coordinating with the relevant authorities in the college and the university.

15 - Chairing student cases committees.

16 - Chairing student disciplinary committees for violation

17 - Following up on the recommendations of the college and student advisory councils and setting mechanisms for their implementation.

18 - Evaluating the performance of faculty members annually and providing feedback to them.

19 - Ensuring the quality of the educational process in the college.

20 - Providing educational resources and study references in various specializations in the college in coordination with the relevant authorities in the university.

21 - Implement the tasks delegated to him by the college council or its dean.

22 - Submitting periodic reports on the tasks assigned to him to the Dean of the College

23 - Undertaking any tasks assigned to him within his work scope.
