Definition:

 

This Unit is responsible for providing scientific consultation, assistance, social and behavioral guidance to all college students to develop their personalities and professional interests. It is also responsible for supporting students' rights on the basis of the rules and regulations applied by the university and developing a culture of justice and fairness among students. The decision to assign its head is issued by the Dean of the College.

 

Responsibilities:

1 - Follow up on students academically and submit reports and recommendations to the head of the department.

2 - Provide students with suggestions and consultation to improve their academic achievement and help them overcome their academic and administrative problems.

3 - Follow-up the cases of academic underachievement and reasons behind them and provide appropriate solutions.

4 - Help students discover their abilities and inclinations, determine their goals, and develop their potential in a way that serves the interests of society.

5 - Prepare new students to learn about university life and its study system through guidance and orientation programs.

 

6 - Spread awareness about the college and university regulations.

7 - Overcome obstacles that hinder students' academic achievement.

8 - Study the negative behavioral phenomena of some students and suggest appropriate solutions for them.

9 - Guide underachieving students academically to improve their performance.

10 - Nurture outstanding students to continue to excel.

11 - Motivate talented students and supporting their creativity.

12 - Helping students with special needs to achieve academic achievement.

13 - Helping students and preparing them for real life.

14 - Investigating complaints and grievances submitted by students.

15 - Providing the necessary consultations to students regarding their academic and non-academic problems.

16 - Educate students of their university rights 

17 - Adopting the principles of justice and fairness as a fundamental pillar in building an ideal society 

 

18 - Supporting students' rights on the basis of compatibility with the rules and regulations applied by the university and in a manner that does not conflict with them. -

19 - Assisting students expected to graduate.

20 - Receiving student requests and referring them to the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs and Development.
