The Scientific Council of King Saud University in its fifteenth meeting for the academic year 1434/1433 AH ,which was held on Sunday, 28/04/1434, issued a decision to promote Dr. Mohammed bin Othman Alrukban- Vice rector of educational and academic affairs, Dean of college of medicine and the supervisor of medical services of Almajmaah university- to Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, King Saud University.
It is worth mentioning that Professor Mohammed bin Alrukban holds a Ph.D. in family and community medicine, he is a faculty member in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at King Saud University College of Medicine, where he took a number of scientific, managerial and leadership positions. He also previously worked as demonstrator, lecturer, assistant professor and then associate professor prior to the decision of the Scientific Council of the promotion into Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at College of Medicine.
He also served as president of the Family Medicine Unit and head of the Quality Assurance center in King Saud College of medicine.he also served as Vice dean of academic affairs college of medicine for King Fahad Medical City, Vice dean of academic affairs of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, then dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Majmaah. Recently the Minister of Higher Education apportioned him to be the Vice rector of Educational and Academic Affairs at Almajmaah University. During his scientific career Professor Mohammed bin Othman took presidency and membership of several medical, scientific, and national committees and gave lectures and research at local, Arab and international conferences.
