The Department of Mathematics

Vision

The department aspires to be a pioneer on the local and regional levels in the fields of education and research by helping resolve the issues and initiate relevant scientific research in order to find appropriate solutions, provided that the research is related to society and preserves the environment

Mission

To provide educational and research services for undergraduates majoring in mathematics

Improve the level of the department graduates to meet the needs of the labor market while keeping abreast of technological developments in the field of mathematics

Objectives

• To use modern and effective educational methods, and to ensure that there will be credible academic graduates.
• To open up on the department’s environment   
• To promote scientific research in the field of mathematics and statistics
• To organize workshops and seminars in the field of mathematics so that the department would become a link between the student and the specialized institutions in order to create job opportunities for most graduates.
• Prepare the female student to work for the good of  her society.
