Overview about the department:

Teaching at the department focuses on general skills of learning English language. Students also take introduction to linguistics, English literature, literary criticism, and translation. The study plan of BA is a combination of all these courses which will enrich students’ knowledge and hone their linguistic skills. During early levels, there is a focus on teaching the four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, in addition to grammar before students study specialized courses.

Degree earned by the Department:

After completing 8 semesters with a total of (142) credit hours, students earn a BA in English language.
