A Workshop on the Basics of Scientific Research

In collaboration with the Unit of Scientific Research, Student Activities Unit organized a workshop on the theme of ‘Basics of Scientific Research’ on Tuesday in the training hall. The workshop which was presented by Dr. Saadia Ali Al-Kabir focused on explaining the basics of scientific research as well as its key role on the development of nations. Dr. Al-Kabir also defined the researcher as the one who chooses a problem and try to solve it using a systematic way or methodology. She also said that a researcher should have a strong will to conduct a scientific research, being knowledgeable, patient, precise and faithful. Dr. Al-Kabir further pointed to what should be avoided when choosing a topic for a scientific research. According to Dr. Kabir, the selected topic gains a significance when it tackles a problem found in a society.
