A Workshop Entitled Innovations and Inventions

The Students Support Unit organized a workshop entited “Innovations and Inventions” presented by Dr. Mubarak Bin Salem Al Seif, the counselor of the Students Support Unit, on Tuesday 18 November 2014. It was oriented to students participating in the Sixth Scientific Conference for students of higher education. The workshop aimed at forming positive orientations toward invention and contained basic concepts in creation and invention, in stages of the process of creation, invention models characteristics of the inventors, lessons from the inventors’ lives, how to emerge creative ideas, assessment of creative ideas and patent preservation. On this occasion, Dr. Adel Al-Alyan, the college’s vice-dean of Students Affairs, confirmed that these events belong to a system that qualifies students participating in the Sixth Scientific Conference for students of higher education in order to achieve advanced stages, such events contribute to directing students’ skills in a way that fits their abilities.
