CCIS LAUNCHES ITS SECOND TERM BLACKBOARD TRAINING WORKSHOPS FOR STUDENTS

The E-learning Unit at the College of Computer and Information Sciences started its training courses for students for the second semester of the academic year 1439/1440 on the use of the new LMS Blackboard. The coordinator of the unit Mr. Mohammed Al-Ajmi together with the trainer Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Shaheen welcomed the students to the workshop held at the college OS LAB . The trainer began by reminding students of some general regualtions related to e-learning, electronic attendance and its requirements and the distribution of grades (60% for the final exam and 40% for participation and study through the learning management system). He also highlighted the need to attend and participate in discussions and deliver required assignements.

The trainer logged then into the virtual training environment set by the Deanship of e-learning at the university to train the students and explained in detail the homepage and then how to modify the personal information and computer settings and noted the need to adopt their MU e-mail ID to communicate with the professors of the courses. The course included questions from the students about some of the details in the system which the trainer explained fully.
