CCIS Receives the Editorial Board of the Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences (JEAS) -

The College of Computer and Information Sciences received a delegation from the editorial board of Majmaah University’s Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences. The delegation was headed by Dr. Thamer Al Harbi, Dean of Scientific Research at the University, accompanied by Dr. Tawfiq Al Kanhal, Professor of Engineering and Dr. Sameh Mohammed.

The visitors were welcomed by the Dean of the College Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Shehri, the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, the heads of scientific departments and faculty members.

Dr. AL Harbi praised the efforts of scientific research and publishing made by faculty members in the college. In the same vein Dr. Tawfiq Al-Khanhal thanked the leaders of the College for their outstanding efforts in motivating faculty members for scientific publishing. Dr. Sameh Mohammed spoke then about the Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences JEAS in terms of vision, mission and objectives, and addressed the most important sectors it covers among which Computer Science and Engineering top the list . Dr. Samah also discussed the regulations and mechanisms as well as stages of publication, and the nature of qualitative research that the journal is interested in.

The floor was opened then for discussion to respond to queries about the publication mechanism, the time periods for arbitration and the suggestions of faculty members for development. Eventually, the meeting ended with a speech by the Vice Dean for Scientific Research inviting faculty members to publish in the university journal.
