Under the recommendation of the Dean of the College, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Shehri, and within the efforts CCIS has been making to develop and improve the potentials of its students, the Student Activities Unit held an introductory seminar on the IELTS test which was presented by Mr. Mohammed Al-Ajmi.
The seminar introduced the IELTS test and its importance as a prerequisite for both completing postgraduate studies and joining in many international institutions and companies. The speaker tackled the English language skills that the test measures, the nature of the questions, as well as other skills that the applicant needs. The speaker also noted that the university has an accredited IELTS testing center and that it holds training courses for those wishing to take the test.
The seminar was concluded with an open discussion to identify the obstacles facing students in passing the test.
