The College of Computer and Information Sciences received representatives of the supervision committee of community service units from the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Learning. The College Dean Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Shehri, the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, and members of the Community Service Unit at the College welcomed the committee members.
The visiting team presented the objectives of the committee, as well as the procedural guide for community service units in different university colleges. They discussed then the matrix of goals and indicators adopted in the strategic plan of the university. The committee also discussed the mechanisms of presenting community initiatives at college level.
His Excellency the Dean of the College emphasized the importance of community service as a pivotal role in the college's mission and the college's keenness to provide quality community activities matching with its nature and potential. The community service unit presented then its operational plan, activities and the initiatives the College is working to provide to serve the community under the guidance of the leadership of the College.
The visit ended with the members of the Supervisory Committee of the community service units wishing more cooperation and expressing their full readiness as a representative of the Deanship to provide all facilities for the college to promote its contribution to community services.
