Under the patronage of the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information, DR. Mohammed Al-Shehri, a symposium was held by the college entitled “Updated Accreditation Criteria of ABET” in the quality hall. The symposium was presented by Dr. Reda Ammar, consultant of the college for external accreditation and head of computer science and engineering department at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Ammar provided a detailed explanation about the accreditation visit and associated procedures, accreditation requirements which starts by submitting a Self-Study Report of academic programs and ends by the continuous evaluation and self-development. The quality and academic accreditation were highlighted for students and academic programs. A large number of faculty members and representatives of quality attended the symposium headed by the Dean of Quality and Skills Development, Dr. Mohammed Al-Aboudi, the Vice-Dean, Dr. Abdullah Bajahzar, advisors of the deanship, Dr. Mohammed Tharwat and Dr. Al-Mutwali Ismael as well as representatives from College of Engineering and College of Applied Medical Science.
