  • Quality Assurance Unit

Goals:

To promote the culture of quality at the college; set mechanisms and procedures to regulate the implementation of quality for academic programs and provide technical support to academic departments.

  • Responsibilities
  • Conduct orientation meetings and workshops and distribute manuals and flayers to promote the culture of quality among faculty members, staff, and students.
  • Set quality assurance mechanisms and procedures for the college academic programs, units, and departments.
  • Provide technical support to the college academic programs and units in implementing quality assurance procedures.

  • Follow-up and review the quality reports made by academic programs such as:  

Program regular self-study report

Program self-assessment measurements

Program annual report

Courses reports.

  • Follow-up the preparation of course files of academic programs and provide support to faculty members if needed.
  • Undertake necessary actions to evaluate essential elements of quality assurance at the college such as:

Evaluate facilities.

Evaluate learning resources.

Evaluate work regulations and procedures.

  • Determine strength and weakness aspects of implementing quality assurance procedures for academic programs at the college.
  • Follow-up the selection of benchmarking indicators for academic programs and conduct comparison.
  • Provide technical support to academic programs in setting improvement plans.
  • Follow-up the implementation of planning decisions and plans suggested by councils of departments and colleges.
  • Coordinate with the accreditation unit at the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development.   
  • Academic Accreditation Unit

Goals:

Prepare the college and its academic programs to obtain local accreditation from the NCAAA as well as international one.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with accreditation agencies locally and internationally.
  • Help the college in setting a deal with local and international accreditation agencies.
  • Study the requirements, standards, and procedures to apply for accreditation and workshops are conducted accordingly.
  • Provide technical support to the college and its academic programs on how to meet the requirements of accreditation.
  • Prepare and review reports highlighting the extent to which the college and its academic programs have met accreditation criteria.
  • Organize and coordinate internal and external audit visits made by accreditation agencies.
  • Set mechanisms for saving and archiving evidence of achieving quality.
  • Coordinate with the accreditation unit at the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development.

 

  • Measurement and Evaluation Unit

Goals:

Regulate the process of collecting data of learning outcomes measurement, exam quality measurement, the college performance indicators measurement.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Measure the college performance indicators and assist the academic programs in measuring their performance indicators.
  • Assist academic programs in measuring learning outcomes.
  • Assist academic program in measuring exam quality.
  • Prepare necessary tools for measuring learning outcomes, performance indicators and exam quality.
  • Prepare annual plans for measuring learning outcomes, performance indicators and exam quality.
  • Provide technical support to the college programs to implement measuring tools of learning outcomes, performance indicators and exam quality; prepare statistical reports; conduct comparisons (same program at different years, benchmarking).
  • Prepare periodical reports about measuring learning outcomes, performance indicators and exam quality.
  • Coordinate with the accreditation unit at the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development.

 

  • Training Unit

Goals:

Plan and supervise the training courses conducted at the college as well as documenting and evaluating them.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Determine the training needs for faculty members, students, and staff.
  • Coordinate with the college units and departments that conduct training courses.
  • Set the college annual training plan.
  • Supervise the training courses conducted at the college.
  • Prepare regular reports about the training course at the college.
  • Coordinate with the Vice-Rector’s Office for Skills Development.
  • Document and save training courses files.
  • Create database of training courses and trainees at the college.

  • Planning and Development Unit

Goals:

Supervise the process of setting the college strategic and operational plans and prepare follow-up reports.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports of the preparation for new academic year.
  • Supervise the process of setting the college strategic plans and academic programs.
  • Supervise the process of setting the college operational plans and academic programs.
  • Prepare regular and final reports about the achievement of the college strategic and operational plans and academic programs.
  • Prepare the college annual achievement report.
  • Coordinate with the Administration of Planning and Development.
