Duties of the Unit:

  • Propose general policies for the selection and distribution of teaching assistants and lecturers across departments and colleges.

  • Review recommendations issued by college councils regarding the appointment of teaching assistants and lecturers, based on the following criteria:

    • The number of current teaching assistants and lecturers in the department.

    • The number of faculty members currently on scholarship, their specific specializations, and expected return dates.

    • The number and percentage of Saudi faculty members, their specializations, and their teaching loads.

  • Recommend the allocation of teaching assistant and lecturer positions based on the current and future needs of departments.

  • Study recommendations related to the transfer of teaching assistants and lecturers to administrative roles within the university or their reassignment to the Ministry of Human Resources.
