A celebration was held by MU to commemorate the 93rd National Day under the patronage of the rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mizil, and in the presence of deans and a number of public sectors' directors. 

The celebration began with a performance of the Saudi traditional dance and then the royal anthem. The celebration was moderated by the student Fahd Al-Mansour which was kicked off with verses from the Holy Qur’an recited by the student Abdul Mohsen Al-Yahya.

Addressing the audience, the rector gave a speech in which he praised the great works undertaken by King Abdulaziz to establish this country which has enjoyed a security, development and prosperity. "The Kingdom today, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz - the Crown Prince and Prime Minister - is experiencing its heydays in all fields, and is witnessing a huge volume of giant projects in all regions". 

The celebration also featured a number of films and an operetta performance highlighting the great achievements of this country in different fields. Retired staff who have served the university for years were honored at the end of the celebration. 

The rector then launched the National Day exhibition which featured sections highlighting the huge projects taking place in the Kingdom.

The Deanship of Student Affairs at MU held the annual meeting for new students enrolled in the academic year 1445. Patronized by the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Prof. Muhammad Al-Aboudi, the meeting was broadcast live on the Deanship’s YouTube channel and Twitter.

 

The meeting began with a welcoming speech by the Vice-Rector, Prof. Al-Aboudi, who extended his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince, Prince Muhammad bin Salman for supporting education.

 

Prof. Al-Aboudi, then advised students to dedicate their time for study and choose good companions, reminding them hard work should start from day one. He also explained to them their rights and duties and that all university officials are pleased to serve them.

 

Dr. Saleh Al-Rashidi,  pointed out that the deanship is operating in accordance with the university’s vision, mission and goals. In a presentation about the deanship, the dean highlighted the deanship’s plan for the academic year 1445 and the improvement plan for the university student environment.

 

The Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Saud Al-Muqhim, provided an account of the Deanship of Admission and Registration, the Charter of Student Rights and Duties, and an overview of study plans and academic movements. That was followed by a Q&A session.

 

After the meeting, MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mizil, launched the University Guidance Exhibition which was held by the Deanship of Student Affairs in cooperation with a number of departments. The aim of this exhibition is to welcome new students and introduce them to the rules and regulations and the services provided to them at centers and clubs.

 

MU RECTOR WELCOMES SCOUTS WHO PARTICIPATED IN PUBLIC SERVICE FOR HAJJ

MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mizil, welcomed in his office the university's scouts who participated in the public service programs for Hajj this year, 1444 AH. The meeting took place in the presence of the vice-rector, Prof. Mohammed Al-Aboudi, and the dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Saleh Al-Rashidi.

Congratulating and appreciating their efforts to serve pilgrims, MU rector highlighted that the university strives to help them in overcoming all obstacles to achieve their goals of serving the country, reminding them of the importance of community volunteer programs that serve society through social responsibility.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Al-Mizil presented certificates of appreciation to the university scouts for their efforts to serve pilgrims. 

 This participation was at the request of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to serve pilgrims and an extension of the university's annual participation since its establishment. A scout group of 16 members and a leader from various colleges were briefed by the dean of Student Affairs motivated them to seek reward and blessings from Allah in their service. The scout group was part of 46 scout groups from university scouts across the Kingdom which was located in Arafat camp.

The team received a training in the early days on mapping techniques to locate the camps of the Hajj campaigns. They were taken to the field in to guide lost pilgrims to their camps and assist them in finding whatever they needed. The participation of the scouts in the public service camps for Hajj included various programs and events.

The scout group won several awards at the camp such as the gold level in mapping, first place for the best course on scout fires, best photographer, and fifth place in the initiatives presented by the group in the camp. 

This was pointed out by the head of the Sports and Scout Activity Department, Mr. Ali Al-Hanou, who expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the dean of Student Affairs for his support and all members of the university scouts for their outstanding participation in the public service programs for Hajj in 1444 AH.

MU Vice-Rector, Dr. Jawaher Al-Omar, sponsored the women's ceremony held at Dar Um Habiba in the university housing complex in Majma'ah by the Quran Memorization Society. The event was also attended by the director of the Dar, Ms. Asmaa Al-Fada, and the director of Supervision Center for Women's Facilities at QMS, Ms. Maha Al-Ofaisan.

Seven ladies, who memorized reciting the Quran, were honored for this year.

The vice-rector, Dr. Al-Omar congratulated honored ladies, highlighting the efforts of the country in supporting the noble Quran. She expressed gratitude to everyone for their dedicated efforts in supporting those ladies in their journey of memorizing the Holy Quran. 

 

RIYADH GOVERNOR'S WIFE PATRONIZES MU'S GRADUATION CEREMONY

Under the patronage of Riyadh Governor's wife, Princess Nora bint Mohammed Al-Saud, MU held on Thursday the 14th graduation ceremony for the year 1444, in the presence of the vice-rector, Dr. Jawaher Al-Omar, deans, and students' guardians. 

Inaugurated by the national anthem and followed by the graduation parade, Dr. Huda Al-Barrak, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the Dean of Admission and Registration and pointed out that the university strive to serve the provinces and centers located within the university's geographical area, allowing them to complete their education without the hassle of travel and commuting.

A word of encouragement was conveyed to graduates followed by expressing gratitude to their parents and faculty members for supporting them during this journey. 

The Vice-Rector, Dr. Jawaher Al-Omar, an encouraging speech to graduates, motivating them to fulfill the country's vision and represent the university in the best possible manner. 

On behalf of all graduates, Fay Al-Anazi, a student at the university, delivered a thank you speech to MU rector and all faculty members for their guidance and support during their study which ended up with this great achievement. 

A documentary film titled "This is Our Journey" was shown, narrating the journey of the graduates since day one and reflecting their feelings for their achievements.

A presentation of of the university's projects and initiatives, launched by Riyadh Governor, Prince Faisal, were shown including the Logistics Services Contracts Portfolio for transporting students, and logistics services contracts for security services, operating, maintaining, and cleaning facilities and for the operation and updating of the electronic portal, electronic services, data center and network servers.

The presentation also included launching the university medical center, which aims to develop the overall healthcare system, one of the university's programs that is aligned with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. 

Among the projects launched by Riyadh Governor were the Interface Development Initiative, which aligns with Saudi Arabia's Green Initiative as part of Vision 2030, 'Erteqaa' platform, an integrated e-learning training platform for students, faculty members, staff, and the community.

Then, everyone was introduced to a film titled "The Dream Comes True," which narrates the daily life and journey of a female student through one of the services provided by the university to facilitate her acquisition of knowledge and education.

The ceremony ended by awarding outstanding students certificates of appreciation.

The Deanship of Student Affairs at MU organized the first cycling championship for students under the patronage of MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mizil, and in the presence of vice-rectors, deans, and staff from the Ministry of Sports clubs and offices. The event was a wonderful sporting occasion to promote diversity in sporting activities in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. 

Partners whose contributions made this event successful were honored at the end of the race. Students who won the race were also awarded and they are: Isaq Ibrahim (10th place), Bbukhari Muslim, (9th place), Ahmed Al-Hamad (8th place), Saeed Al-Shahrani (7th place), Omar Dego (6th place), Nadiho Yassin (5th place), Meshal Al-Buqmi (4th place), Abdelhadi Al-Hakami (3rd place), Abdelrasheed Mahmoud (2nd place), Mohammed Al-Fahayed (1st place).

Under the patronage and honor of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Mizil, the University Agency for Educational Affairs launched the activities of the Distinguished Student Projects Forum, in the college complex in the university city in Majmaah.

The activities began with the opening of the exhibition of research projects for students, where he briefed His Excellency on an overview of the research and projects submitted, and listened to a detailed explanation of each project, and then His Excellency the President of the University honored the winning projects, and memorial photos were taken for the winners.

For his part, the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Aboudi, explained that this forum aims to ensure the quality of education and enhance the educational environment by enriching the academic arena with scientific and research projects that contribute to the development of knowledge, enhance research values, and build bridges of scientific communication, by reviewing the most important experiences and distinguished projects in this aspect.

The forum is held as an extension of the forums organized by the Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs with the aim of achieving the university's educational objectives by improving the educational process.

Based on its role in achieving social responsibility in spreading culture, enhancing knowledge in society, and encouraging reading among its members, the Deanship of Library Affairs, represented by the library of the College of Sciences and Human Studies in Hotat Sudair, established the initiative (Today's Reader, Tomorrow's Leader), which targeted the kindergarten stage, where the event was held in the second kindergarten in Hotat Sudair, with the participation of a number of Deanship employees, and the event included many pillars, including: Kinetic games, coloring, competitions, accompanied by a training program to develop reading skills presented by Dr. Arafa Jibril, a faculty member in the Department of Business Administration at the College of Science and Human Studies in Hotat Sudair.

The Deanship of Library Affairs is keen to provide such initiatives and target this age group due to the importance of instilling a love of reading among young people and developing their reading skills.

At the end of this initiative, gifts were distributed to the children.

The Vice President of the University, Prof. Muslim bin Muhammad Al-Dosari, opened an awareness exhibition under the slogan (Together to reduce traffic accidents), which was held at the Applied College in Ramah Governorate with the participation of a number of security, health and educational sectors in the governorate, and this exhibition implemented by the Salik Center for Traffic Safety comes as one of the programs and events organized by the center, which aims to spread awareness and traffic culture among the university employees and the surrounding community, and Mr. Miteb bin Muhammad Al-Maimouni - Director General of the Services Department - stated that The exhibition received a variety of participations from vital sectors, with the participation of public education schools in Ramah Governorate, in order to raise the level of traffic safety in the governorate through partnership with the concerned authorities, and stated that the exhibition, which was opened by the Vice President of the University, Prof. Muslim Al-Dosari, with the Director of the Education Office in Rammah, Mr. Mahdi Al-Sahli, comes as an extension of the initiative (Draw and Color) implemented in public education schools, and also enhances the university's efforts in spreading the importance of traffic safety for students, especially students of this stage, and added Al-Maimouni said that the exhibition, since its first hours of opening, has received organized and multiple visits by students of general education and university education in Ramah Governorate, and it also received a good influx by the local community, and Al-Maimouni appreciated to His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Saleh Al-Mizil, his continuous support for spreading traffic safety programs in all sectors of the university to serve male and female students and the community, in advance his sincere thanks to the Vice President of the University, Prof. Muslim Al-Dosari, for his care and interest in implementing the traffic safety plan in Ramah Governorate to raise the level of Al-Maimouni also thanked the General Administration of Administrative and Financial Affairs for the continuous support, all work teams, the college administration and participants from vital sectors in Ramah Governorate, and partners in the private sector who enriched the activities of the exhibition with what they presented, wishing that the impact of this exhibition would be reflected in achieving the Kingdom's vision and the Quality of Life Program with regard to reducing the percentage of traffic accidents.

In honor of His Highness Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdullah bin Faisal Al Saud, Governor of Majmaah, and in the presence of a number of directors of government departments, heads of centers in the governorate, notables, people and university employees, the university held a celebration on the occasion of the ninety-second National Day, in the main theater in the university city in Majmaah, and His Highness the Governor of Majmaah was received by His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Mizil, university vice-rectors, deans of colleges and supporting deanships.

The ceremony began with the royal anthem and was presented by Mr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Eid, then everyone listened to verses from the Holy Quran read by Mr. Ahmed Al-Mansour, after that a promo was presented that tells about the university on the National Day, in which a number of shots of previous celebrations and media production were presented, and also included clips from national films that were shown in the past years, followed by a presentation entitled: (Generations made history).

Within the framework of activating the partnership with the Human Association, the Vice Presidency for Female Student Affairs sponsored the Productive Families Exhibition, which was held in the lobby of the Institute of Studies and Consulting Services in the female student complex in the (College of Computer) on Thursday 5/5/1443 AH. Which included the productive families of the Ensan Association and their products were displayed, and there was an activity corner for the children of the Ensan Association and symbolic gifts were presented to them. The exhibition was attended by a number of university leaders and employees, and the exhibition was concluded, stressing the university's continued support for social responsibility and community service to achieve the ambitious vision of the country.

 

The Applied College holds a meeting to introduce its programs in general education schools

Based on its plan to introduce the programs of the Applied College and the transformation plan program for applied colleges, and in partnership with public education schools, as it is considered the important and target segment in the advertising and marketing plan of the Applied College, and out of the need to activate the strategic objectives of the detailed plan for applied colleges in particular, which is concerned with improving the mental image of applied colleges and their qualifications and outputs among the community and employers, a work team led by the Vice Dean of the Applied College for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Dakhil, visited the students of the Complex High School Al-Tuwaijri, where they were received by His Excellency Mr. Haqail Al-Hogail, Director of the school.

In his speech to the students, the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs addressed the definition of the Applied College and its qualitative and professional programs that meet the needs of the labor market, and Mr. Muhammad Fayez presented to the students what the smart phone applications program is and the areas of employment of its graduates.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Nafrawy focused on the importance of the e-commerce program and the growing areas of employment of its graduates in the era of information technology, while Dr. Ahmed Shaheen highlighted the importance of the computer program and professional certificates.

It is noteworthy that the meeting witnessed a heavy participation of about (100) students from the school, and a great interaction reflected in their inquiries and the responses of the members of the work team to them.

The school director concluded the meeting by thanking the Dean of the College, Dr. Shadi bin Abdullah Al-Shuwaier, for this introductory meeting, and the members of the work team.

For his part, the Dean of the Applied College expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Mizil, for his support and approval of the college's participation in this initiative, which is one of a series of initiatives aimed at introducing the college's programs and the transformation plan.

 

The Applied College hosts students of the Department of Education to implement the International Test (PISA)

The Applied College, in coordination with the Department of Education in Majmaah, hosted a number of secondary school students from King Fahd School to perform the test, accompanied by a number of educational supervisors and technicians in the Department of Education in Majmaah to implement the international test (PISA), in the college's computer laboratories, where the Dean of the College, Dr. Shadi bin Abdullah Al-Shuwaier, inspected the progress of the international test (PISA) hosted by the college, which was supervised by the head of the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at the college, and the supervisor of PISA test from the Evaluation and Training Commission, Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Dahsh.

The Deanship of Library Affairs Organizes the Initiative (Fitness is Culture)

Based on the societal role of the Deanship of Library Affairs in spreading awareness and general culture within the local community and within the geographical scope of the university, the Deanship of Library Affairs, represented by the Library of the College of Applied Medical Sciences and Medicine, held an awareness and cultural initiative under the title: (Fitness is a culture), coinciding with the World Anti-Obesity Day.

This initiative was activated over two days in a row, where the initiative was implemented in its first phase within the university in the lobby of the College of Applied Medical Sciences (female sections) amid interaction and distinguished presence from all employees of the college, and the next day the initiative was completed in the sixth primary school for girls in Majmaah with the participation of the deanship and lecturer in the Department of Physical Therapy and Health Rehabilitation, Ms. Noura Al-Mutairi, and a number of library friends, where this initiative was accompanied by the establishment of a number of awareness corners , which included: (body mass check - test your fitness - home alternatives to sports equipment - healthy eating habits).

At the end of the initiative, distributions were presented to the attendees commensurate with the type of initiative, and all those in charge of it were thanked.

The university, represented by the Friends of the Blood Bank Club at the Social Responsibility Observatory, carried out a blood donation campaign in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports, held in Jalajil city within the activities of the Majmaah Youth Program, in partnership with the Blood Bank at Hotat Sudair General Hospital and King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah Governorate, where the campaign targeted community members, and more than 45 donors were received, and more than 45 blood units were provided.

In light of this participation, His Excellency the President of Jalajil Center, Eng. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Suwaid, honored the university, represented by the Blood Bank Friends Club, for its efforts in holding this campaign during the activities of the Majmaah Youth Program, where the honor was received by the Director of the Observatory Department, Mr. Majid bin Dhaifallah Al-Otaibi.

On this occasion, the supervisor of the Social Responsibility Observatory, Dr. Faisal bin Faraj Al-Mutairi, stated that this campaign comes within the framework of the directives of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Mizil, and with the follow-up of the Vice President of the University, Prof. Dr. Muslim bin Muhammad Al-Dosari, and in line with the university's directions in opening up to society in all its components based on its social responsibility, and as a contribution to achieving the goals related to the health field, in partnership with the relevant authorities, stressing that the university is proceeding in Its plan related to its social responsibility, and what this requires from working with partners to address various societal issues according to its priorities.

 

Deanship of Student Affairs launches the first marathon of Majmaah University

Under the patronage and honor of His Excellency the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Rumaih, and in the presence of His Excellency the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Afaisan, the Deanship of Student Affairs organized the Majmaah University Marathon under the slogan "My Sports, My Health is Titled", in which 180 runners from 17 teams from various agencies, colleges, deanships and departments of the university participated, and the arbitration management of a group of referees of the Saudi Athletics Federation, and His Excellency the Dean of Student Affairs fired the starting shot at five o'clock in the afternoon, and at the end of the marathon, the sponsor of the ceremony honored Success partners contributing to the success of the marathon, namely the traffic of Majmaah Governorate, the General Administration of University Security, the General Administration of Public Relations and University Media, the General Administration of Services and the Medical Services Department, after which the marathon referees were honored by the sponsor of the marathon, and then the winning runners in the individuals and teams were honored, where the contestant Marwan Al-Moqbel from the College of Science won first place individually with a time of 20 minutes and 50 seconds, while Abdul Rahman Al-Jahlan from the College of Education in Zulfi came in second place with a time of 21 minutes and 22 seconds. The College of Engineering participates in the university marathon

The College of Engineering participated in the Majmaah University Marathon Championship, which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, under the patronage and honor of His Excellency the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Rumaih, in which a large number of university employees, including students, faculty members and employees, participated on Tuesday afternoon on 5/7/144 AH.

The large sports marathon was organized, which is in line with the Kingdom's vision to raise the rate of exercise in the community to reach one million Saudi athletes by 2030, and the large marathon competition reached a distance of five kilometers within the campus and the number of participants is eighty runners.

The college participated with fifteen contestants from faculty members, employees and students, and the College of Engineering won the second place awards Dr. Mahmoud Owais, the fourth employee Majid Atti bin Khuthaila, the sixth employee Abdullah bin Suleiman Al-Meshal, and the eighth Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Muhaisen for faculty members and employees, and the college won in the student category the second place cup for the student Ahmed Al-Majyoul among the students participating in the championship.

The award ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Rumaih, and His Excellency the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Afaisan, and the winners of the major sporting event were honored with a financial reward in recognition of their efforts and great sportsmanship during the distinguished sports tournament.
