Established in collaboration with UNITAR, the CIFAL Saudi Arabia Center focuses on training activities related to economic development, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability. The center aims to enhance the capacities of public servants and leaders in Saudi Arabia by offering learning opportunities that promote sustainable development and social inclusion.
CIFAL Saudi Arabia's objective is to provide a range of learning opportunities and facilitate knowledge sharing between public servants and leaders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to strengthen capacities, improve the decision-making process and encourage sustainable development.
The CIFAL Global Network is under the UNITAR and composed of 34 International Training Centres for Authorities and Leaders. The strategic locations of the 34 centres, which can be found across Asia, Oceania, Africa, Europe and the Americas ensure a global outreach. Each CIFAL centre provides innovative training and serves as a hub for the exchange of knowledge amongst government officials, the private sector, and civil society.
It provides a platform for dialogue and knowledge transfer on key development-related issues.
Over the past five years, CIFAL Global network reached approximately 50000 beneficiaries through 500 learning. events.

The Saudi Cifal Center provides unique access to global resources and expertise through its global network and affiliation with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, enhancing its ability to conduct advanced training programs in line with the latest international standards and practices.

Majmaah University has conducted training programs emphasizing the social dimensions of sustainability. For instance, a program titled "United Nations Sustainable Development Goals" was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, targeting leaders within the ministry. This five-day training focused on various aspects of the SDGs, including social inclusion and community development.
Prof. Al-Dosari, vice-rector, pointed out that this program was conducted at the request of MU rector, Prof. Al-Mizil, who is very keen to have the university engaged in serving the kingdom's vision 2030 by offering exceptional programs. Special thanks were extended to the General Administration of Human Resources at the Ministry of Interior and the Institute of Studies and Consulting Services for collaborating to run this program.
The program was originally launched by the Social Responsibility Observatory (SRO) in collaboration with the General Administration of Administrative and Financial Affairs and was commended by the rectors and director’s universities and educational institutions at GCC.

The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 is deemed one the important areas for universities to their influential role on societies and capacity to support developmental issues related to developmental plans. With that in mind, universities are obligated to establish a department – subsumed under the university’s higher management- to act as a representative through which universities can undertake their role of activating the Kingdom’s vision 2030. Thus, MU has set up the Vision Realization Office to be in charge of fulfilling the vision requirements at the university.
Goals of Vision Realization Office
· Support the national transformation plan to achieve the Kingdom’s vision 2030
· Utilize the university’s facilities in serving the community
· Contribute in assisting the university in supporting the national development plan
· Work on making knowledge more accessible for everyone
· Educate a large number of people with minimum expenditure
· Participate in prioritizing the university’s priorities based on the requirements of the national transformation program.
